COVID-19 Practice Guidelines

What I ask of you, my clients:

  • If you have travelled overseas in the past 2 weeks or are experiencing any symptoms including cough, fever, runny nose or shortness of breath or are just generally not feeling well, please change your appointment to Skype, FaceTime or telephone or reschedule to avoid potential cross infection with other clients;

  • Hand rub is available in the waiting room. I recommend that you use this upon arrival and departure. Handwash is available if you prefer;

  • Try to minimise time in the waiting room.  I recommend arriving only a few minutes prior to your appointed time.  I will do my best to call you to let you know if I am running late.

My commitment to you:

I always have and will continue to practice high standards of infection control.  That remains unchanged during this time, with the exception of the following additional precautions:

  • I am aware of the symptoms of the virus and will not come to work should I develop these symptoms.  This may cause delays to your treatment, and some of your appointments may need to be postponed.  I apologise for any inconvenience and will give you as much notice as possible of changes to your booking;

  • My hand hygiene practices continue to be of an exceptional standard.  I wash my hands regularly and in accordance with the protocols described by Hand Hygiene Australia;

  • I will be wiping down the waiting room surfaces, door handles, water cooler and chairs regularly throughout the day with appropriate infection control products - between every patient whenever possible;

  • I will continue to change all treatment table covers and towels (washed according to infection control guidelines) and disinfect the massage table post every client for those whom receive bodywork;

  • I will be wiping down the reception area between every visitor with appropriate infection control products.  This includes EFTPOS machine, keypads, laptop, pens, the computer, mouse and computer keyboard. Please feel free to use your own pen if you prefer;

  • There are no magazines and books in the waiting room.  I have removed them to reduce the risk of transmission of infection.
